Treatment

Wondering if speech therapy is right for you and your family? Below are some of the most common areas of treatment:

Speech Sounds &
Phonological Processes

Do you or your child struggle to make a specific sound or letter? Maybe 'R' is hard, a lisp is present, speech generally sounds 'slushy', close family struggle to understand what is being said, or it takes a great deal of effort for one or two sounds.  If so, we can help you achieve intelligible speech.

Swallowing &
'Picky Eating'

Have you experienced a stroke or other trauma that left you with limited meal options, or unable to consume food altogether? Is your child a 'picky eater' that will only tolerate a handful of specific foods? Let us help you achieve greater satisfaction during meals.

Verbal Expression

Do you or your child seem to have a lot of thoughts, but struggle to get the message across? Is talking to family and friends frustrating for you, and sometimes confusing for them? If so, we can help you achieve an expanded vocabulary.

Comprehension

Do you or your child struggle to understand the content of a book? Or understand what is being said by others? Is it hard to follow simple directions or answer simple questions? If so, we can help achieve functional listening and reading skills.

Written Expression

Do you or your child have a lot of amazing thoughts and ideas, but struggle to communicate them on paper? If so, we can help you achieve improved grammar, sentence structure, and logical sequencing of ideas.

Social Language

Do you or your child struggle with appropriate interactions with others? Do conversations with family and friends feel awkward, or result in hurt feelings? If so, we can help achieve improved and appropriate interactions at home and in the community.

Alternative
Communication

Do you, your child, or a loved one have significant needs that make verbal communication highly difficult, or even seemingly impossible? If so, we can help achieve functional communication of thoughts, wants, and needs via high tech devices (AAC).

Fluency

Do you or your child stutter or stammer? Does speech range from sounding and feeling very difficult, to sounding very fast and cluttered? If so, we can help achieve smoothness in your communication with others.

Stroke

Have you or a loved one experienced a stroke that affected speech, language, memory, or swallowing? If so, we can help improve your areas of concern and guide you to a higher quality of life.
